SYNOPSIS
Dans un petit village paysan, à l'aube du vingtième siècle, Monica Harris, mère noire élevant seule ses trois enfants, est condamnée à mort pour avoir tué Earl Watts, son voisin ; un péquenaud du coin raciste et violent avec sa femme. Habituée à se battre pour survivre, l'ultime combat de Monica sera de laisser un monde meilleur à ses enfants.

In a small famer village at the beginning of the twentieth century, Monica Harris, a single Black mom raising three children, is sentenced to death for killing her neighbour, Earl Watts - a country bumpkin, racist and abusing his wife. Used to fight for survival, Monica's last stand will be to leave a better world for her children.
